AND Artist in Residence
Imogen Donegan
Ards and North Down Borough Council, with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, is pleased to announce the appointment of Imogen Donegan as the new Artist in Residence at Seacourt Print Workshop, Bangor.
The residency will run for up to 12 months from April 2026 to March 2027 and is delivered in partnership with Seacourt Print Workshop, one of Northern Ireland’s leading printmaking centres.
Imogen Donegan is a multi‑media artist living and working in Bangor, whose practice developed as a printmaker at Seacourt Print Workshop. Her work spans printmaking, drawing, animation and film, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and place‑based practice. Throughout the residency, Imogen will create a new body of work exploring Bangor as a place of transition, responding to the city’s significant physical and cultural change.
As part of the residency, Imogen proposes to produce an experimental film that combines moving image, animation and printmaking to document a period of generational change within Bangor. The project will be shaped through close engagement with the city and its communities and will form part of the Council’s wider programme of arts‑led placemaking during this important period of regeneration.
