Play with Words in Print
We are excited to partner with Aspects Festival this year, along with our Artist in Residence, Imogen Donegan.
As part of Aspects Festival this year, the Southbank Centre’s “A Poet in Every Port” project is coming to Bangor, bringing 5 days of exploring poetry, creativity and coastal voices.
On Saturday the 26th September, Seacourt will be open from 1-4pm for some play with letterpress printed words and poetry. Come along and try printing from traditional wooden letterpress blocks. We will then encourage you to make your own poem, using the freshly printed words!
We will also be hosting a drop in session with Imogen Donegan, who has designed and made a beautiful wooden box, that will become the repository for all of your Bangor stories, memories and myths.

These pieces of writing will help inform some of Imogen’s art making as part of her residency and add to a collaborative archive of stories and lore about Bangor.
