A big celebration and a formal launch

It’s been quite a journey. Last week saw a significant milestone for us all at Seacourt – our Official Launch event, with ceremonial ribbon ‘cutting’ (pulling!).⁣

All of our major funders were invited, as well as everyone who had donated to our crowd funding campaign – “Banking on Seacourt”.

To mark the occasion, we commissioned Imogen Donegan to design and screen print a special illustration of our forever home, and we also honoured those who had donated a significant amount with their names etched in copper.

We had buns from The Guillemot, a few speeches and a tour of the workshop and studio spaces above.

Thank you to everyone who helped out – it felt very special as the sun poured through the old banking hall, we revelled in the sounds of the oooh’s and aaaah’s from everyone who couldn’t get over the transformation of the space.

We still can’t believe how far we have come in the last few years, and this felt like a good completion event, but also the start of a very bright future.
